SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY – Services and Fees
Prices include GST

Initial assessment $180

  • Case history and discussion with parents/caregiver/staff
  • Dynamic assessment with your child (may include school, home & daycare visits)
  • Assessment summary report
Therapy session or consultation
$120 per hour; $95 per 45mins; $70 per 30mins

  • Individual session with your child
  • Parent/caregiver education
  • Progress and planning summary after each session
    OR
  • Consultation with family member or daycare/school/service staff
  • Stakeholders meeting (e.g. with school or other service providers)
Phone/Skype consultation $50 per 30mins

This option is available only to current clients and/or clients who have been seen in the last 3 months.
Report writing $60

This includes special reports (other than the initial assessment report) such as review reports and referral/summaries to other services at your request.
Workshop presentations Please enquire

I can present customised workshops about your child’s needs and/or specific topics to daycare/school/service staff and the community. Workshop length can vary from 30mins – half day.

Please note:

  • Depending on location, travel costs may apply. Additional costs for specialised resource development may apply. Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • Minimum billable service time is 30mins (plus travel costs if applicable)
  • Initial assessments may consist of several sessions in different settings
  • Sessions may be carried out in client’s homes, schools, daycares or within the community (e.g. a trip to the park).
  • Sessions may be used for assessment, observation, therapy, consultation or education/training according to the client’s wishes and the therapist’s judgement of what would be beneficial.
  • Session costs also include preparation, follow-up and record keeping (outside face-to-face time).

Consultations and assessments $110 (min 2 hour)

Program supervision $110

  • Reviewing progress made towards goals
  • Observation of program implementation
  • Reviewing and forming new goals
  • Extra staff training
  • Coaching for caregivers
Program implementation $60

  • Implementing the agreed program with your child
  • Initial program implementation before others are asked to do this
  • Training staff to implement a program
Extra report writing $60

  • Review reports and referral/ summaries to other services
Professional development $250 (2 hrs)

  • Tailored professional development for childcare staff, support staff or other interested parties involved in supporting your child
Travel expenses: $0.73/km + $30/hr

Payment options & booking confirmation:

An invoice will be emailed to you prior to your appointment. Payment can be made via direct deposit or credit card. Your appointment will not be confirmed via email/text/phone until payment has been made.

Cancellations:

Please contact your therapist if you or your child is unwell. If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact your therapist 24 hours prior to your session so we can reschedule and credit your next appointment. If you cancel in less than 24 hours, 50% of session cost may still apply. Full session fee will apply if you do not contact us to cancel the session.
